| Some comments that about this years Conference,
a Conference that will mark a milestone in the life of the European
Six Sigma Club: |

The European Six Sigma
Club this year will consolidate itself as an indispensable element
for those businesses that embark on the ambitious task of managing
their change processes utilizing Six Sigma Methodology to reach
quality levels for their products and services in order to advance
and to exceed the needs and expectations of their Customers.
During the next conference, which
takes place in Lisbon Portugal next October, we will cover
the needs of those people involved in the ambitious Six Sigma
process change, the people who are just starting out in this
process as well as those that have already been involved
in the implantation of Six Sigma Methodology.
For the people who already have
experience in implementing Six Sigma Methodology in their
Companies for a number of years, but feel that they now need
to go further in the development of this Methodology, we
have planned for the first day of the Conference working
groups.
These groups which are small
will be made up of people who have a high level of confidence
between them; this will allow them to speak openly and to
debate the chosen themes in depth.
During the morning of the second
and third day brief expositions and debates will be made,
these will take in the following themes:
1. Preparing, planning and cultivate
readiness for Six Sigma.
2. Deployment and speed-up of
Six Sigma implementation.
3. Integrating DfSS and DMAIC.
4. Lean and Six Sigma.
5. Transactional Six Sigma.
The selection of these themes
has been made thinking that they are those themes that they
will contribute and give maximum value added for those people
who have worked in implanting Six Sigma Methodology for between
one and four years.
To support these morning debates,
we have prepared parallel sessions for the afternoon, where
Black Belts will present their specific cases on which they
have worked. These presentations contribute by giving added
value with a double aspect:
1. The speaker has the opportunity of making
public a job that he has sweated on for many months, and that at last has
been concluded, he can now take the opportunity of celebrating this in
the European Six Sigma Club Conference.
2. The assistants at the Conference will be
able to share the experiences, successes and failures that in numerous
occasions are similar to those shared by all the assistants.
The afternoon of the last day will be dedicated
to collect ideas from the members to plan the future actions of the European
Six Sigma Club.
As we said at the beginning, this year the
European Six Sigma Club will consolidate itself as an indispensable element
for the suffering Six Sigma community in Europe, therefore there will be
no lack of means or environment to make this Conference a success. To this
effect Air Portugal, our sponsor for this years Conference has spared no
effort, they have prepared for us some pleasant and useful surprises during
the work sessions and a special celebration dinner on the second day. |
